Description

Over the past 20 years James' and Penny's 'clean' approach, Symbolic Modelling, has provided a way of facilitating people to experience systemic shifts that lead to organic change and personal evolution. It incorporates David Grove's Clean Language, a unique set of questions for working with people's self-created metaphor landscapes. This radically different way of facilitating change is based on the science of self-organisation. No change technique is required – change emerges spontaneously as people develop a deep relationship with their naturally occurring metaphors and symbols.

The role of the Symbolic Modelling facilitator is to encourage the conditions under which change happens naturally. What makes this methodology so useful and innovative is its simplicity, its 'clean' philosophy and it’s use of metaphor to work with complex problems as well as high-level goals. Ernest Rossi, long time collaborator with Milton Erickson said this approach "helps people learn how to facilitate their own creativity in solving their own problems in their own way.” Less from the facilitator, really is more for the client.

Learn from from two recognised world leaders in the field. Through demonstrations of the six phases of Symbolic Modelling, debriefs and practical activities you will not only develop your skills as a coach, therapist, manager, teacher, health professional, etc. you will also find how your own inner world is organised and what needs to happen for it to evolve.
